Invited sessions are (parallel) sessions about a topic or problem of interest within the scope of the Conference. An invited session is organized by its organizer, who will be responsable for calling and looking for participants in accordance with the following instructions:
  1. The organizer of the session should be a member of one of the ALIO societies.
  2. The deadline for proposals is 31st January 2020.
  3. Three different invited sessions are accepted:
    • Regular: a regular invited session should include four to five oral presentations with different speakers, and coming for at least three different institutions.
    • Mini-simposium (MS). A mini-symposium includes a keynote (40 minutes) and two or three oral presentations with different speakers, and coming for at least three different institutions.
    • Mini-simposium Tutorial (MST). A mini-symposium tutorial includes two sessions: the first one with a keynote (40 minutes) and two or three oral presentations with different students and the second one with two or three oral presentations with different students and a final debate (40 minutes). Students must coming to at least three different institutions.
  4. If the organiser wants an invited session to be considered as MS or MST, it should be indicated in the proposal, adding information about the proposed speakers (name and brief curriculum vitae and abstract of the keynote).
  5. Preference will be given to proposals that include participants from at least two countries.
  6. A researcher can only propose an invited session. Eventually, a session can be organized by two o more researchers, but none of them can organize another session.
  7. Speakers of an invited session should be registered in the conference not later than June 12th, 2020. Otherwise, those registering later will be included in another parallel session.
  8. The organizer of an invited session is assumed to chair it, as well as to determine the ordering for the presentations.
  9. A proposal should include a title, the list of presentations in it and their authors. The organizer/s must ensure that all participants have previously agreed to participate in the session, register to de conference by 12 June 2020 and submit the corresponding abstracts (which will be prepared following the instructions for abstracts in regular sessions).
  10. The Program Committee of the Conference will be in charge of the approval of the invited sessions.

The official languages of the conference are Spanish, Portuguese and English. Lectures can be given in one of these three languages.
